The Limehouse "Ice Capades" - Monday March 18, 2019, 8:15 Hike

We don our skates (icers) and start our first number "The Hill Climb"
Christine prepares to avoid an unexpected two-foot spin
This number is called "A Waltz Through The Woods"
Note the intricate footwork required traversing on ice through the trees
All numbers were perfectly choreographed by Liz
and expertly performed by the Oakville Pathfinders
This self-directed number was called "Find your own damn way down the hill."

  Intermission time ....
Single file along the ice surface ....

We perform an unusual off-ice performance
Anita prepares for the difficult descent into 'The Hole'
Anita and all the performers complete a flawless descent
Mike demonstrates skillful footwork as he exits 'The Hole'
and emerges to thunderous applause from an appreciative crowd

We left Limestone happy with our performance ....

It looks so Spring-like, but getting here across all the ice was far from easy!

 Safe until next Thanksgiving!

This one may not last that long!!!

Oh Deer! (Sorry best I can do right now)

Fourty Mile Creek, Grimsby; Monday 8:15 hike

The hike started at the mouth of the Fourty Mile Creek at Lake Ontario
The creek's recent  flood waters had receded somewhat
But it also left treacherous ice floes across the trail
and apparently the trail had been closed ...

We start up the escarpment alongside the creek
 Ice falls on the escarpment

At the crest of the escarpment we look east towards Naigara Falls
 Mike's multitude of merry marauders
Inevitably we have to go down again
We follow the creek under the QEW back to Lake Ontario
