 Good weather brings out the crowds -- 29 to be exact. 

 But good weather wasn't enough to bring this fellow out.

   Mike started the hike around Crawford Lake where 

we could admire the carvings 

 and lovely spring flowers ....

and past a quiet creek ... and a Jack-in-the-Pulpit

 Then Mike suggested we do a little "off Trail" hiking.

 "It won't be too difficult ...."

  "There's a lot of interesting flora along here ...."

 "Not much further ...."

  "See, wasn't this worth it?"

 "It's lovely Mike, but how do we get back?"

 "Well, aah .. just follow me." ......... "Right!"

 "Can you see the top Carol?"

  At the top we were treated to a great view of the 
Mushroom Farm on Guelph Line.

 We started our hike at the ....

Azaleas & Rhodos, Thu 23 May, 8:45

From Sid: 9 hikers had a pleasant 8:45am  hike to Brueckner Rhododendron Gardens ... rain held off until we began viewing flowering Azaleas (Rhodos need another week) ... we met Turtles ... also met Dave Culham (he of the Dave C. trail) who was helping Alcon volunteer gardeners clean up the rose bushes ... here are some pics ... maybe we can bring some rakes & shovels on our hike next year? (lol)

 The dandelions were competing for equal time ..

 As were the cherry trees.

Jim did  wonderful job leading us 'down the path' through the

 trilliums, around the puddles, across the bridge and back to the cars.
