The Crosstown Relay, pt 2: Additional Pictures by The One with the Talking Stick (or was that the baton?)

Anita and Margaret unboxing ice cream cones under the watchful eyes of Sue, Christine, and Colin

On the last leg....for Tom's mushroom collection (he does not suggest they'll go with ice cream)

on Sid's hike: Ann captures real beauty

The Great PHG Crosstown Relay, Wed 6 Oct 2021

With great organization and initiative by Anita, good sportsmanship by Ann, and with pictures contributed by Anita, Colin, Tom and Jim, we have a pretty decent record of a unique and fun event:

Does Ann look up for this adventure? Of course she  does!

A very good turnout for the first leg, anchored by Anita

Terry Fox style, Ann dips her toe to mark the start.

The first handoff, to leg 2 and Sid.

A small elite group covered the second leg in good time.

Ann is handed off to Helgy and crew for the third leg, headed to lunch

Lunch, under cover and with live entertainment. Who could ask for more?

Richard is just hitting his stride.

An odd way to observe National Beer Day!

Ann listened indulgently to the golf joke. Did she want to be on the links instead?

Getting ready to walk again...

Setting out on the 4th leg, led by Tom (those are coins in the plastic bag :))

Ann looks relived to be handed off to Jim for the 5th leg.

Listening carefully to the One with the Talking Stick

Leg 6 and the finish is in sight. So is the ice cream!

Ann has a moment of quiet contemplation before dipping her toe in the final pond.

The perfect time of year for such an adventure. Thank you, Anita!
