Niagara Hike & Winery Tour - Wednesday September 13, 2023

On Wednesday, September 13, 2023, fourteen Pathfinders joined the hike starting from Fifth Ave. in Vineland for an 8k hike to Balls Falls.

Following our hike, we headed up the road to Vineland Estates Winery where we took part in the Flair for Franc Wine Tour & Tasting. This tasting is inspired by the winemaker’s passion for Cabernet Franc. We learned about the vineyard, wine making, the history of the grapes and tasted wines that were Franc inspired.    Cheers everyone! Some of us have never been to a wine tasting while others have; however, we all found that our guide was very insightful about the type of grapes used and the wines produced by the winery.  Once our tasting was finished, we headed into the dining room for a lovely lunch. Bon Appetit!  Tom wondering: When two left-handers have an argument who is right? Carol thinking: Hmmm, if it’s 10 times better than the leading brand, why isn’t it the leading brand? These are questions that we will never be answered….
