 Fenwick Tulip Farm

May 3, 2023

On Wednesday, May 3, 2023, 27 of us Pathfinders set of to Fenwick to visit the tulip farm.
Unfortunately, the day started out somewhat wet; however, it didn't dampen our spirits, as fun was had by all.
There were 2 million bulbs planted this year at the farm; most of them in bloom or different stages of bloom at this time, so we were surrounded by a beautiful sea of colour.
With our entrance fee, we were able to pick our own tulips. Some of us even purchased boxes of bulbs to bring home!
Afterwards, we headed over to Jordan House Tavern for lunch, where we took up a large portion of the restaurant. The server and the kitchen were wonderfully accommodating.
A big shout out to Margaret Lea who was the main photographer, and for Anita who provided one of the group pictures - Thank you both.

Mount Nemo - May 1, 2023  8:45 am

Hike Leader:  Tom Stephens 6.5 km  E/N

These 16 eager hikers had to reduce their hike from 6.5 to 4.9 kms due to rain.

Everyone accounted for, who took the photo?

Admiring the view.

Up the hill.

Down the hill.

And up the hill again, only this one was a bit of a challenge.

Eventually we got to the root of it.

An amazing view from a safe distance.
