Snake Road - Hwy 6, April 9 2026 8:15am

10 hikers enjoyed the relatively warm 8 Celsius start on this workout trail along the escaprment face on the Waterdown side of Highway 6. It travels along the Bruce trail from the Snake Road access to the Highway 6 pedestrian via duct and returns. Nothing like a water break to garner smiles on this group photo.

Here we see a typical climb in this hilly terrain. We are starting to feel over clothed under the exertion. A few remember Tom's coaching about staying on trail in soft footing.

The terrain has a way of fencing us on trail. Beautiful trail isn't it.

Notice how the moss is taking off in early spring and buds give the trees a hint of green. Okay now we're warming up.
