Elora Gorge - October 26, 2016

 The hike started through the village Elora and then along the 
Irvine Creek Gorge, (below)

 We were a large group ably led by Ann
 it was a sunny cool day, perfect for hiking along the Grand River.




 As any horticulturist will tell you when you plant a tree in your 
backyard you can't do it without a couple of tons of good topsoil

Griffin House, a National Historic Site, was built in 1827 and owned for many years by Enerals Griffin, an African American from Virginia who escaped to Canada in 1834.
