Crawford Lake, Mon 8 Apr 2019, 8:45

Ready for a howling good time. But where is Jim?

A salamander, spotted by our sharp-eyed leader Bill

Another salamander on the trail (or maybe a newt?)
Mother Goose, out on a ledge

Lots of trees are coming down. Lots.

Britannia to 8th Sideroad; River and Ruins; Monday April 8th 8:15 hike

Great weather, abt 14C and the rain held off.
We cross Twelve Mile Creek

Mike led sixteen merry mudders on a wonderful hike

Some have asked, why is this hike called River & Ruins?
Well, the river is on the right and seated to the left ........
The house was built by James Cleaver 1800-1890.
James owned a mill in Lowville and was also a Provincial Land Surveyor.
