Balls Falls, Mon 28 Feb 2022, 9am

It was a perfect day for a hike, with well-packed fresh snow pretty well covering all the ice of recent days. A very nice change, indeed, for the last hike before the new registration procedures kick in later this week. We savoured the freedom!

The heritage buildings were especially picturesque today

Felker's to Devil's Punchbowl Falls, Mon 28 Feb 2022, 8:00

-5 and the trails were hard-packed snow. Twelve hikers continued with the waterfall theme started last Monday and visited Felker's and Devil's Punchbowl Falls.

Every hike needs a hill!

Joshua Creek South, Thu 24 Feb 2022, 9am

Avoiding the ice: the recent rain and hard freeze were a formidable combination

It was sunny -- but not enough to soften the ice

Glen Abbey Trails, Mon 21 February, 2022, 9 am

Another good turnout: 17 hikers, with perfect weather organized by Ian

Hard-packed snow was typical today. How long will it last?

Some ice and some bare spots -- a little something for everyone!

Another beautiful day for a hike....just above 0 and the trails were hard-packed snow.

Nine people joined Brian on today's hike.

"Think anyone will notice if we turn back and skip the hills?"

Providing that extra level of service!!

Thank goodness the sun was out and there was no wind!!!

Iroquoia Heights/Scenic Drive, Mon 7 Feb 2022, 8:45

It was another day of blue skies (mostly) and pleasant temps -- perfect for a hike. And a new start -- from the golf course parking lot, which worked out well as it was well cleared of the recent snow.

The view from the parking lot. But we took the long way around to the top of the stairs.

The Escarpment, seen from the Rail Trail. Eventually, we'd be up there.

Helgy leads us through the Iroquoia Heights CA woods. No mud for a change!

Hilton Falls N&S, Mon 7 Feb 2022, 8:00

Another beautiful morning for a hike...sunny with the temperature hovering slightly above 0, the trails were hard packed snow, and Michael and Arpi brought treats. It was a good day😁

A roaring fire and no one thought to bring hot dogs or marshmallowsπŸ™„

Today's route - thanks Ken

A little off trail, but well worth the detour
